My biggest issue with movies going for the the softer techno-trance feel is that I often feel like the epicness of the actual tricks isn't being showcased the best that it can be. To me the best tricking movies still need to have some kind of hard hitting elements to sync to even if you're using softer music.
With that said, I do like the music and it was still very good for your first video. Well above average. I'd have to agree that the After Effects sections looked better overall but there were parts in both sections that either looked really really good or not so good. Didn't feel like there was a lot of consistency. As for the tricks again its mostly quality stuff but again to me the style of the video doesn't showcase the true talent that some of them take :(
Another personal preference of mine is that when you include DF runs and fast caps I wish movie editors would include not just the time completed but the world record time as well (or previous record). I play defrag myself but I don't know the world record to every map featured in every movie and it's always nice to have something to compare the run you're watching to :)
Anyways I'm picky in a lot of personal ways but to anyone interested it's a very good movie overall. Worth downloading. 7/10 from me :)

| I agree that some tricks could have been shown better, overall I thought it was pretty well done though. I thought it had a cool mixture of content that kept it interesting. I always love movies with CPM tricking, good job! |

well done. I really enjoyed the movie, especially the first part with the pendulum song :) good quality and editing.. but for the next time try to spend more time on synching.

Nice movie, that shows a wide variety of tricks (freestyle, defrag, speedcapture, cpm, vq3, strafes, weapons, etc).
Depending on your tastes you might like some more than others (ex: Breach is really skilled, but his tricks don't talk to me, when Gubelfax' ones do,even if some of his tricks impressed me more than oehrs).
I just noticed that a few tricks seemed really easier than the others in the movie, like @9:32 on dm12 or @12:49 on freestyle_88 (maybe it is just an impression).
Clean editing too.
One question: what is the last defrag map (the blue one with cpm strafes @15:20?), I have browsed a little the joind demos but couldn't find it.
Anyway good idea to include demos, even the not used ones, so you can check them too.
Alcohol is the answer, but I can't remember the question!

I don't like "rolling" video like paper effects but overall I think editing is good and pretty, not an effects overdose. Tricks are good, nothing really special and awesome, just good. But some of them are really creative. Music in this video is nice for my ears.
