| pretty nice movie. just like your previous one i had to watch it 2 times before comment, some frags are really impressive :). CTF rox :D definitily a keeper for CTF fans. keep going ;) |

cant really say i liked this, mainly because of the feeling i had that the best frags were shown in third person ;s.. maybe im just spoiled :x

Once again nice job, Balls. The frags were amazing as usual, and the music, while not my favorite, fit the footage pretty well. Like some others have already pointed out, it was difficult to tell what was going on in a few shots, but most of them were easy to follow. Overall, great movie and fun to watch people I know getting owned, especially when it's not me. :P
By the way, if you guys want to keep the ball rolling, I'd be more than willing to team up with Balls, n1ne, wes, etc. to produce some more American CTF videos. I can put some more time into the editing if you guys supply the footage.

Hmm what to say
I saw some creative editing at parts, pretty good frags, nice CTF action, but OH GOD the music..
1) Rap isn't music you can really frag to or get the feeling of fraggin to, so I couldn't get into the movie.
2) I really hate linken park since all their shit sounds the same, just remixed differently each new album (more towards rap/hip hop each time)
3) I had to stop watching the movie 5 mins in, that "I hope you got yaself a gun" fuckin drove me nuts, i was singing to myself "hope i got maself a gun so i can fuckin shot myself and end this!"
I might watch the full thing when I'm not all freakin out by "got yaself a gun!" Gonna be hearing it in my dreams now >.>
Also quality was a tad on the poor side, more contrast and better compression will make it look better right away
7/10 from the 5 mins I saw until i broke my speakers (not literally) |

You don't hear me whining about the quality of the movie, it was nicely above average quality and I had no problems with the way it was presented that way. I think that you guys are pretty spoiled by those guys like w1z4 and suzb and azazel that push the quality of the ut1 engine to the limit, we don't all got that much time/experience/knowledge on our hands!
Frag wise, pretty good, above average but nothing really omg or els I would have remembered it.
Music wise, stop whining about it, this was a personal project obviously so that means that the movie maker/people doing the frags in the movie choose the soundtracks on their preference + what they deem best for fitting the content etc. This was done fine and I was able to enjoy it, even though I would never use those soundtracks myself.
Creativity wise it was nothing special, as fusie said I missed the effect of 1st person a lot of times to show the aim + the reaction ability, speed etc. rather then the 3rd camming stuff which I hate so much in present day movies.
oldschool movies > newschool movies

Because of this, people can whine all they'd like, it's not forbidden man, so stop actin like it is.
As for whining about the music, you really can't tell me that listenin to some bitch in the background say "I hope ya got yaself a gun" or w/e for 3 mins is gonna pump you up to frag like a madman.

So we really aren't "spoiled", rather we get good projects from ppl that put their time into them and actually want to make sure they come out with the best project they can.

Imo and just IMO there's no rules for music on fragmovies / video game movies / w\e you wana call it, it's just a matter of taste :), perhaps you dont like it, thats kewl... i didnt liked the first music at all, the second was okish but HEY thats just my opinion.
About the quality :F, well maybe BallistiC didnt care about quality either :), still was enjoyable movie, at least to me. |
