Background Info
I got home from a vacation on July 5th, and saw that the competition had officially started. I grabbed the songs and checked them out to see which one I liked. In the end it was between Skillet - Falling inside the black, and Passenger - In reverse. I decided to go with "Falling inside the black" because I thought it suited my editing style a little better. I collected demos from friends and made a post on gotfrag about it. Once I received all the demos I began immediately. I got about 1:30 minutes done in the first day or two, and decided to take a short break. After about a week I started up again and got another minute or so done. There were still some small gaps of around 5 seconds left to fill and around 20 seconds to fill on either side of gosu's famas ace. I decided to take another break because I was in pretty good shape so far. With sports starting to take place I hardly had the energy to pound out that last 45 seconds. After 4 weeks of innactivity on the movie, my football camps were over and I got a break for one week. By monday I had 25 more seconds done, and only a little bit left to go. On tuesday I realized that I had run out of demos to use and I had to bring some of my own clips, and even one of trauma's clips from other projects into it. Later On I was extremely tired of the project, and really just wanted to get it off my computer. I knocked out the last 20 seconds on tuesday, captured all the ingame sound and lined it up, and then I rendered uncompressed. I encoded in x264 after and when I watched it I noticed a few mistakes. I went back and fixed them, and then rendered again. I encoded in x264 and finally liked what I saw. No more changes were made after this encode, and then I encoded in XviD for those who can't play the x264 file smoothly. I deleted all of the .avi's, .wav's, .bmp's, .veg's, .psd's, .png's, and .dem's associated with the project, and god did it feel good. I finally finished, and I must say despite the burden it had become, I am happy with it. I think the quality is actually pretty good which I never think of for my own videos. The filesize is low, and I liked the music.
Apologies
I realize that a few of the clips in this movie have been used before, but they are clips that I wanted to use so I used them. Quite frankly, I don't care. But I'm still apologizing for it to get the <3's.
