Abomination
After my last production (Nameless), I'm gonna start on my next video, using Abomination as a working title.
This video is going to feature more recams and effects then what i've done before, like Nameless it's going to be a multi-mod vid. Wich brings me to my next point...
I need demos! :D
If you got any demo's lying around wich are about Annihilation skill or better, send em over to wusseh@gmail.com, (i'll be setting up a FTP server soon, will update this thread with the details).
The demos can be from any of the following mods:
- RA3
- CPMA
- BaseQ3
- Osp
All gametypes are ok (1v1, TDM, CTF, etc ;P)
Do you have a demo you think i definately should use, but the mod is not listed above? Send me an e-mail about it, and i'll see what i can do!
Next to frags I allso need some other demo's:
Any short tricks/freestyle runs or ctf runs would be greatly appreciated, thinking about working some of them in there.
Allso any near-omfg shots would be great (like some omg airshot but it didn't kill the enemy or something), planning on having a nice spot for that kind of stuff :)
Anyway, I've allready started sorting out soundtracks, seeing if i can find something suiting the needs. I'll keep this thread up to date with some of the progress i've made!

Please report your nickname, the mod, map, time of the frag and what kind of frag it is in the demo filename. And if you got spare time, save a busy video-editor some time by re-recording your frags :P

Personaly I don't like when videos gets mixed-up. Like a part for frags and a part for tricks. I think if you're doing a movie, you should select one editing style and stick with it, becouse frags and trick are representing different styled imo. Maybe it's just me, I duno :)

if done correctly it can work... take Lyon connection, it worked good there... i'm not saying i'll definately put tricks in it, but theres a possibility, if i find the right ones.

As Wussie stated, there is a risk, but if well done it can give great results. Just putting a tricks in the middle of a frags sequance or a frag in the middle of a tricks sequence is bad, but doing separate parts, or even mixing them together (even if it is very riskee imo, sometimes it works) can work. Of course the viewer must be able to appreciate both styles (tricks and frags) else it will waste the movie for him.
Alcohol is the answer, but I can't remember the question!

yah, and what i'm allso trying to do is to see how balanced frags & tricks can get, because: in the current situation, as stated above, fragvids & trickvids are compeletely different in style, athmosphere etc...
Now I'm curious if theres a compromis possible, that's what i wanna find out... ;)

Yeah. If you suceed, your movie will be one of my favorites... Actualy I haven't seen anything like frags and tricks in the same style of editing before, so... if you are capable doing this- do it!

in project no 2 there were both tricks and frags and the style was the same :) i think they were done perfectly :)

watching it now...
how coincidential, the soundtrack they used for intro (from the "Pi" soundtrack) was on my 'probably use' list :x 'll probably get bashed now if i use it :'(
